Code for Osnabrück

Code for Osnabrück is a local initiative of engaged citizens who work together on digital projects for the city.
It is part of the Code for Germany network and develops open data applications, apps, and tools to promote transparency and participation.
The goal is to improve life in Osnabrück using technology and to solve urban challenges creatively. Projects like these are important
because they strengthen civic participation and foster innovation in the public sphere.
Current Projects

RSS bots for Mastodon
Development of bots that automatically publish content from various RSS feeds to osna.social.
This includes, among other things, information from the City of Osnabrück’s council information system. -
Parking garage data monitoring
Analysis and evaluation of parking garage data to better visualize occupancy rates, especially during nighttime hours.
The aim is to assess whether parking garages could be used as neighborhood parking facilities.
