Every Thursday we meet at 19:00 in the AStA of the University of Osnabrück, Alte Münze 12, 49074 Osnabrück in our Hackspace Rabbithole.Events

Every first Sunday of the month, we are on-site to offer support for taking steps towards digital independence.
These don't always have to be big steps. Perhaps you'd like to stop buying books or e-books from the big monopolist and instead support your local bookstore. Or you're wondering how to set up an email address with a European provider.
Feel free to drop by with your questions about digital independence. We'll provide advice based on our experience and the collected recipes from the nationwide initiative, offering help for self-help.

Test your knowledge about the internet with the surfschein quiz by internet ABC — get your "drivers license for the internet" at digital week 2025!
The surfschein is a playful digital learning quiz. It provides a protected environment for kids, ages 7 to 12, to learn the basic skills for responsible and self determined interaction with the internet.
Because the quiz is not translated, this workshop will be held in German only.

Democracy needs open spaces. Who decides what information is visible and shared online? Who determines which internet services can be used by whom? Do I really own my data? Is there anything I can do differently myself?
Brought to the forefront by Marc-Uwe Kling and the Kangaroo at the 39th Chaos Communication Congress in December 2025 in Hamburg, a great many people throughout Germany and beyond have since been getting involved under the banner: Digital Independence Day.
This talk explains exactly what this is all about. It aims to provide strategies for becoming more independent and self-determined, even in small steps.
The talk will be held in German.
